Tender, yet fierce.

Your feminine heart is needed in this fight.

The feminine heart is made for battle. Yes, we are soft and alluring, but we are also fierce and strong. In the fight against your heart you are needed to fight as a woman. Maybe you never realized this before, but it is true. Esther’s courage saved her people; they would’ve perished without her. She was needed. The Bible is filled with examples such as this one. God chose women for crucial battles because He knows the strength and fierceness he placed inside our hearts and He needs our feminine hearts to fight the way only a woman can. God created our hearts for battle because He knew so well that we will be required to fight. Yes, men are our image of a fighter, but women are warriors too. This is not to say that you will always fight by yourself, it is rather to portray the fact that you need to train now and become the partner that your husband will one day need when the two of you will fight together as one. That’s if you aren’t married yet, of course. You can’t just wait until then because the battle is happening as we speak and you are needed now. Also, the only way to learn how to be a good warrior is to fight. You are ready to fight now and you need to fight on your own behalf. Every moment, your heart is being assaulted by your enemy. In Stasi Eldredge’s book, Captivating; she talks about her battle against dizziness. It wasn’t until she commanded the evil spirit to leave from her that she was able to live a life without dizzy spells. She also opens up about her fight with depression and how her and her husband used the authority that Jesus Christ gave us over the powers of darkness. They both prayed that the foul spirit would be banished from her life. She was set free! The assaults over our lives can take many forms (physical, emotional, etc) and they are always spiritual. We need to step into the unseen world if we want to be able to fight for our hearts, but we must do this full of faith in God. It will not be easy and we might have to try again and again, but we will have victory through Christ! As soon as we learn how to fight in our own lives, we can start fighting on behalf of others by using our feminine hearts to bring life around us as well.

The art of being a woman.

Femininity is the beauty of a woman’s soul.

Beauty has been assaulted over the years. We are given the impression that in order to be “beautiful,” you need to fit in some type of unrealistic criteria set by people whose eyes are blind to what beauty actually means. Women work themselves out until they exhaust every piece of strength that they have in order to fit inside the model of beauty portrayed by media, and everything else in between. Everywhere you look, you are invaded by images of women who, misunderstanding beauty, become the slaves of a culture who no longer knows where true beauty is found. What is beauty and where can it be found? The essence of every woman is hidden inside the beauty of her heart. A woman becomes beautiful when her heart is made whole by her Creator. There is a glory inside every woman’s heart waiting to be unveiled, a beauty that longs to be released and revealed. Femininity is imprinted inside every woman’s soul, but it is not always visible. We need to recover our identities and let God awaken our hearts to life. Beauty is reflected through the eyes of a woman which is fully alive, meaning she lives out of her whole heart. Wounds inside our hearts give us the wrong impression of who we really are meant to be and it makes us hide the beauty of our innermost being. As a woman, you shouldn’t look for validation from others, but rather find it in the touch of the One who sees you as beautiful and values your heart more than anything else in all creation. He desires to make your heart whole in order for you to be fully alive. So, go ahead, give Him all the broken and missing pieces without any doubt that His love is gentle enough for you to be completely vulnerable.
