His grace is enough!

How could we forget?

God’s grace is bigger than the vast blue sky on whose surface dance colorful birds full of life and energy. It outnumbers the grains of sand that fill the shore with shimmer and warmth on summer days. It is more captivating than the most glorious sunset you’ll ever see in your entire lifetime. God’s grace is so much more marvelous than any of these things! And it’s because of His grace that He created them for us because He hoped that we would find Him in the bird’s song or in the way trees undulate in the wind. His desire was that we would enjoy them to the fullest and give all the glory to Him. God placed us in a universe filled with life and song, a universe that dances with wonder in the presence of such a gracious God. He made it all for us! That’s how much our gracious Father loves us! But His grace doesn’t stop here. He didn’t just give us a breathtaking world to live in; He chose to become human and to live among us. The God that created everything out of nothing chose to leave heaven and to come and dwell among us. A most Holy God among such lost sinners! Wow. Yet His grace didn’t stop there. After living among us and demonstrating His love everywhere He went, He died for us! Have you ever really grasped what that means? He loved us enough to die for us! He did all this because He wanted us to be close to Him and to know Him. He longs for us! How blessed we are to be able to have a relationship with the God of the universe! Do we even understand what this means? Do we treasure this gift or do we just take it for granted, not even considering what it truly means? How do we respond to the One who has been pursuing us with such a passion before the beginning of time? Do you know this God who breathes out stars and whose voice created the heavens? The God that will never fail you nor forsake you? The God that really is in control of your life and will never let go? The God who loved you before you were born and who knit you together in your mother’s womb? This God is real and He is so amazing!!! My desire is that you have not forgotten how much He loves you! I want to remind you that His grace is more than enough! In those moments when it feels like your world is falling apart, please take heart! He holds your hand even through fire. He is with you even when the night is long and you feel like the morning will never come! We have so much hope in God! No matter what we go through, we don’t have to lose our faith because we know that even our sufferings have a purpose! They produce in us a glory that far outweighs the pain! There might be pain in the night but joy comes with the morning! We need to put all our hope in Him because those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength! You might be wondering, “Why does God allow me to go through such hardships if He loves me so much?” It’s because God adores you and He wants you to experience His love in the deepest way possible. If life were a bed of roses, would you even need God? If you didn’t know what being in need is, would you ever want to satisfy someone else’s needs? Would you be able to comfort someone if you never needed to be comforted yourself? What if trials are actually blessings and what if pain and sorrow is the way to pure joy? We need to start looking at the circumstances of our lives through eyes of faith, not eyes of fear. We need to set our gaze on things unseen, because what we see with our eyes is temporary but the unseen will last forever. I want to remind you that you are loved and that things are not what they seem! God’s love is unchanging and His plan for you is to give you hope and a future! His grace is enough. Truly, His grace is enough! Even when we don’t feel like it is. We need to embrace what God’s “enough” looks like for our own life. It’s time we surrender our lives to God and allow Him to open our eyes so we can see that His grace is enough! How could it not be?

Not a reason to worry.

Be still.

There’s a peace that doesn’t change according to our circumstances. It can’t be robbed from us and it’s more real and true than anything. This peace can be found by actually believing that God is alive and He is for us. When you completely surrender all your burdens to Jesus Christ, you find that there is nothing left to fear. In an instant, all your worries disappear and you are filled with a joy that words just can’t explain. This joy becomes alive in your heart when you place all your trust in Him- no matter how dark the night around you is! Pain and sorrow have no power over you! God’s love is truer and stronger than any temporary grief!!! So, be strong, troubled heart! Fix your eyes upon the unseen, the eternal! It might look like everything is lost, when in fact you’re constantly being filled with strength!! You know why we fail to see the reality? We focus too much on what we lack, instead of focusing on how abundant God’s provision is for us. He is never unaware of our situation and He always fights on our behalf! Everything we need is found in His arms. Peace, security, joy, comfort, love. Everything! You know what? It all comes down to how much you really believe in God. As long as you believe in Him with every bit of your heart- your soul will soar with joy! Worry is simply lack of faith and a very lonely place to be in. Whatever you do, don’t embrace it! God is always in control! God is always with us! God will never fail us! All we have to do is place our trust in Him. How could we not? He is more than worth our trust!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Change is a beautiful thing.

Rejoicing in the midst of trial.

Let’s admit it. Life is not easy, especially when you are going through change. Most of the time we wonder why the change happened and we fight it instead of embracing it. I mean, look outside. Fall is upon us. Leaves are starting to change their colors and they are slowly letting go of the branches that once seemed so familiar. Who doesn’t like a change that brings immediate joy and comfort? But what about the changes that require us to let go of our comfort zone and step into the unknown? It’s so easy to misunderstand these kinds of changes. Our natural reaction is to think that we’re on our own, so we start doubting the heart of God. If God was good, why did He let this happen? Where is God when you need Him the most? Does God even care? The reality is that God always wants the best for us and He knows the reasons behind everything that happens in our lives. I’m not just saying that because it sounds good; I’m saying it because I have come to believe it and it has drastically shaped my way of thinking. He is right there when we need Him the most! And to answer the last question- yes, God does care about you, even when everything around you tells you otherwise. So, why don’t we see the truth? Because we need to look with the right eyes. When you let God shape the way your think, you start seeing in a whole different dimension. God uses challenges in our lives to help us become stronger. If we never had to believe the impossible, how would our faith grow? It wouldn’t. That’s why God allows challenges, sometimes even suffering to come into our lives. He knows our hearts better than us and sees way beyond what we see. If you want hope in the place of anxiety when you find yourself in the midst of a trial, trust God. Don’t focus on the hardship, but rather focus on the way it shapes and builds up your character. Don’t fall in defeat, instead, rise up in faith because you know God is with you!! Even when you feel like you can’t go on anymore, or when it seems like it’s more than you can take! God has already supplied you with the strength that you need, and all you have to do is go on! He knows just how much we can carry on our shoulders and not a tear falls without His notice. How do we overcome? We seek God- the source of our strength. It’s on our knees where our souls are rejuvenated. Prayer is the place where we find refuge and peace. It’s where we receive the courage to believe and the hope to look ahead to a better tomorrow. The things that we learn in our sufferings are among the deepest of all things and we couldn’t have learned them otherwise. One day we’ll look back and understand why it had to be this way. Wait on God. Wait in faith and be courageous! Take one day at a time and run to Him when you are desperate for help. Those who persevere will be rewarded greatly. Rejoice!

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
